Ocean Reflections

January 6, 2025

I’ve always loved the ocean; not that I was born and raised anywhere close to it. There’s just something about it that is soothing, and draws my gaze in, mesmerizing me; calming my entire being.

Research has found that there are valid reasons why ocean waves affect our brain, whether it’s that the waves imitate our brain wave’s frequency or that the blue colour of the ocean brings a feeling of peace. No matter what the reasoning is behind the ocean’s calming effect, I usually walk away with a sense of reinvigorated purpose and meaning. Having been born in Saskatchewan and then living most of my life in Alberta, I’m grateful for the close proximity of the Canadian West Coast ocean shore that I now experience, providing me with peaceful, reflective moments.

As I stand on the beach watching the waves lap upon the shore, I’m reminded of how life ebbs and flows from times of excitement and joy to periods of stress and uncertainty. Often in these times of uncertainty, we find it difficult to pull ourselves up by our bootstraps to try to figure out how to move forward.

As a Life Coach, my job is to explore with you the possibilities and opportunities to help you get unstuck in these times of uncertainty. Life Coaching can be a transformative process, in which you, the client, allow me to help you identify your strengths and goals. In so doing, I’ll come alongside you to empower you with life-changing strategies to help you move forward to your next steps.

I’d be honoured for the opportunity to partner with you as a Life Coach, and to help you explore new possibilities. All sessions are done online, so are easily accessible and done in the comfort of your own home. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with me to schedule your first session. Oh, and by the way, if you’re not sure if life coaching is for you, I offer a free 30-minute intake session for those who are uncertain.

I’m excited to hear from you soon, and to help you begin your transformative process!
